Every week, I put together a roundup of what's happening around the Jersey Shore, from community festivals and hometown celebrations to food truck events, live music, family activities, and local traditions. Here's what's happening this week:

  • Rescue, Wrench & Ride Car, Truck & Motorcycle Show (Bayville), Saturday: a memorial car, truck, and motorcycle show at Veterans Park with food trucks, vendors, live music, an RC vehicle show, and pet adoption, 10 AM to 4 PM. Registration begins at 8 AM.
  • Sailfest NJ (Island Heights), Saturday: a waterfront festival featuring sailing races, 130+ vendors, food trucks, artists and crafters, live music, and a kids zone, 10 AM to 10 PM. FREE event.
  • Lavallette Founders Day (Lavallette Bayfront), Saturday: a hometown community celebration along the bayfront with activities and entertainment, 11 AM to 5 PM.
  • Ocean County Irish Festival, 10th Anniversary (Berkeley Township), Saturday: live Irish music, bagpipers, Irish dancing, food and craft vendors, a beer garden, and kids activities at Robert J. Miller Air Park, 11 AM to 7 PM. FREE admission.
  • Ship Bottom Day at the Bay (Ship Bottom), Saturday: a waterfront celebration with live music, food vendors, a donut-eating contest, limbo, a dunk tank, line dancing, family activities, and fireworks at dusk, beginning at noon.
  • Brielle Day (Brielle), Saturday: a community event featuring local vendors, food, small businesses, and family-friendly activities, 9 AM to 4 PM.
  • Grape Stomping Festival (Laurita Winery, New Egypt), Saturday and Sunday: celebrate the grape harvest with grape stomping, live bands, vineyard wagon tours, food trucks, face painting, local vendors, and wine.
  • Fall Brew by the Bay (Highlands), Sunday: a waterfront craft beer festival at The Seafarer featuring seasonal brews and a fall-by-the-bay atmosphere, 12 PM to 5 PM.

 

This week's featured events: Sailfest NJ, Ocean County Irish Festival, Ship Bottom Day at the Bay, and the Grape Stomping Festival.
