Buying a Home at the Jersey Shore

Whether you're purchasing your first home, relocating to the Jersey Shore, searching for a waterfront property, or looking for the perfect 55+ community, I'm here to help guide you every step of the way.

Buying a home is more than finding a property you like, it's about finding the right community, understanding the local market, and making confident decisions throughout the process.

As an Ocean County native and full-time Realtor, I help buyers throughout Ocean and Monmouth Counties navigate today's competitive real estate market with honest advice, local expertise, and responsive communication.

A Background Most Agents Don't Have

Before real estate, I spent three years in construction, two years as a health inspector for Ocean County, and I'm a retired police officer. I also spent a decade in code enforcement and hold certification as a zoning official. That means when I walk through a home with you, I can tell you what a renovation is actually going to cost before a contractor ever gives you a number, what an older home's structure and mechanicals are likely to need, and whether a property's zoning actually allows for what you want to do with it, an addition, an in-law suite, a home business.

I'd rather you know that before you fall in love with a house than after you're under contract.

Not Sure Which Town Is Actually Right for You?

A lot of buyers start their search by price and square footage and figure out the town later. It usually works better the other way around. Take the free 2-minute Jersey Shore Lifestyle Quiz → and get matched to the towns that actually fit how you want to live, not just what you can afford.

Common Questions From Buyers

How competitive is the Jersey Shore market right now? It varies significantly by town and price point, some areas move fast, others give you more room to negotiate. Part of our first conversation is being honest with you about what you're actually up against in the specific towns you're considering.

Do I need to be pre-approved before we start looking? Not to start looking around and get a feel for towns, but before you're ready to make an offer, yes. I can connect you with trusted local lenders if you don't already have one.

I'm looking at an older home or a fixer-upper. What should I know? This is exactly where my construction and code enforcement background helps. I can walk through with you and give you a realistic read on what you're actually taking on before you're locked into a contract.

I don't know which town is actually right for me. Where do I start? Take the free Jersey Shore Lifestyle Quiz, it's built to help you figure that out before you start touring, not after.
