Every week, I put together a roundup of what's happening around the Jersey Shore, from community festivals and hometown celebrations to food truck events, live music, family activities, and local traditions. Here's what's happening this week:
- Barnegat Stop, Drop & Run 5K/10K, Saturday: a morning road race with a fun run at 8:30 AM, the 5K at 9 AM, and the 10K at 9:05 AM.
- Floatopia 2026 (Keansburg), Saturday: a waterfront party with a DJ, live music, food trucks, giant floats, cornhole, and fireworks running from noon into the evening.
- Berkeley Food Truck & Music Festival (Bayville), Saturday: 15 food trucks, live bands, vendors, and kids' activities, 11 AM to 6 PM.
- NJ Clearwater Festival (Asbury Park), Saturday: a free, all-ages festival with live music, community groups, and environmental activities, 11 AM to 8 PM.
- Stars & Stripes Festival (Keyport), Saturday: food trucks, live music, vendors, and kids' activities, 11 AM to 8 PM.
- BBQ & Craft Beer Festival (Monmouth Park), Saturday through Monday: nearly 20 pitmasters and more than 40 craft beers, plus live music and family activities, September 5 through 7.
- Point Pleasant Beach Celebrates America's 250th, Sunday: a parade, block party, food, music, games, and a reenactment, parade at 10 AM and block party from 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
- Lacey Elks Annual Labor Day, Monday: food trucks, vendors, and two live bands for the whole family, 10 AM to 9 PM.
